PLACEMENT OF TRASH & RECYCLING CARTS - Place the carts' wheels in the street, against the curb with the cart opening facing the street no earlier than 5:00 p.m. prior to the day of pick up. Please remove the cart no later than 7 a.m.. the day after pick up. The carts should be three feet apart and at least three feet from parked vehicles. Please keep all yard waste piles, vehicles, and other objects away from the front of the carts so that the trucks can reach them. Do not block bike lanes.

Please keep all yard waste piles, vehicles and other objects away from the front of the containers so that the trucks can reach them. Do not block the bike lane or sidewalk.
ALL GARBAGE AND HOUSEHOLD TRASH MUST BE PLACED IN THE CART. DRIVERS WILL NOT PICK UP ANY EXCESS DEBRIS LEFT OUTSIDE OF CART.
STARTING TIMES - Residential collection starts at 7:00 a.m. year round. Carts may be brought to the curb after 5:00 p.m. on the day before pickup, and must be removed from curbside by 7:00 a.m. on the day following collection.
YARD REFUSE SERVICE - Please note that all grass clippings must be placed loose in the street. Please do not place yard refuse in the street in such a manner that blocks bicycle lanes or sidewalks. Maximum size for any brush pile is 5'x5'x5'. Also, branches cannot exceed 8" in diameter. In order to coordinate the brush pick-up and street sweeping service; brush is picked up on a Monday through Thursday basis. Please put your yard refuse out for collection on the day before your regular garbage day. (If your regular garbage day is Wednesday, put your brush out for Tuesday pick-up).
STREET SWEEPING - (once per week) In order to take complete advantage of this service, please park your car off street on your sweeping day (usually the day following brush pick-up).
ACCEPTABLE CONTAINERS - The only acceptable containers are 35, 65, and 95 gallon carts supplied by Davis Waste Removal. All garbage must be placed inside the cart and the lid must close.
CART CLEANLINESS - A successful "garbage-fly" prevention effort requires that carts be kept clean and sanitary. Please do not allow filth to build up in your carts.
HOLIDAYS - We work on all holidays except Christmas and New Years days.
BILLING - Since billing is handled by the City of Davis, billing questions should be taken up directly with the City by calling (530) 757-5651. Service and pick-up questions should be taken up directly with us, Davis Waste Removal Co., Inc., by calling (530) 756-4646.
PITCH IN - Litter on the ground and half empty trash cans add up to wasted resources. Keep Davis clean and litter free. Put waste carts to work!
